Gold Coast singer songwriter, producer, teacher and author Natalie Gauci was born in Melbourne of Maltese / Italian parents. She is the eldest of 3.
Before turning to music, studying at the Victorian College of the Arts, Natalie guest-starred as ‘ORCA girl’ in Season 3, episode 3 ‘Draining The Spaceship’ of Australian childrens sci-fi series, Ocean Girl.
While still studying at VCoA, she formed her own band, the Natalie Gauci Band, which played gigs in & around Melbourne. Her debut EP, ‘I’m Ready’ (1983) featured in the 2011 Australian film ‘Big Mamma’s Boy’
Natalie successfully auditioned for Season 5 of Australian Idol which aired in 2007, going on to win the series before signing to Sony BMG Australia and releasing her debut single “Here I Am” in October.
In 2010, Natalie formed electro-pop duo Tune In Tokyo with producer Paul Brandoli, releasing two singles, “Dreamer” in November 2010 and “Ray Of Love” in April 2012.
Her second record, the jazz-orientated ‘Ha Ha Ha’ dropped on 1 July 2012 followed by the alternative electronic EP ‘Elektrik Field with Alexander Fog by which time Natalie was living and working in London as both a recording artist and music teacher.
