Hailing from the little town of Ipswich, this is one band with a big sound. With sweeping melodies and crushing breakdowns – the five guys have already made an impression on Brisbane’s metal scene; placing second in Brisbane’s Emergenza Final. Recording with Alex Markwell, who’d worked with such talent as Australian punk legends Bodyjar, AVH released their first debut EP entitled “What If”. The EP consists of five tracks that are an encapsulation of the bands journey so far. Featuring breathtaking vocal melodies on tracks such as “We Are The Lost & Found”, straight up rock riffs in “Wuthering Heights Was Just A Book” and unrelenting syncopated rhythms, this is one EP that is sure to get your head nodding and your foot tapping. “What If” was mastered at Spectre Studios in the States, which over the years has become synonyms with bands like Underoath, Norma Jean, August Burns Red & The Chariot. Frontman Andrew Corfield touched on why they went down this path just for an EP.
